Hoenig to step down as FDIC’s vice chair

Thomas Hoenig announced that he is stepping down as the vice chair and a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) on April 30, 2018. Hoenig joined the Board in April 2012 and has served a full six-year term. Prior to joining the FDIC Board, he was the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and a member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) from 1991-2011.
