S3 Partners to provide weekly seclending benchmark data for Imagine Software clients

Imagine Software, the leading provider of real-time portfolio management, risk and regulatory solutions for financial firms worldwide, today announced a new partnership with S3 Partners.
As a leading financial analytics and advisory firm, S3 Partners will provide Imagine’s clients with weekly updates signaling changes in global securities financing rates and borrow and loan trends.

S3’s Market Composite Rate (MCR) combined with Imagine’s analytics adds insight to Imagine’s implied market data. S3’s MCR indicators will also help Imagine’s clients make better borrowing and lending decisions while managing their portfolios and collateral.

“Through our partnership with S3, we are delighted to offer our clients summarized market data that can assist with a variety of investment decisions,” said Brendan Quinn, Director of Sales for Imagine Software.

Imagine’s portfolio and risk management tools are based on objective real-time risk data and analyses, delivering accurate and auditable financial information to managers, investors, and regulatory organizations. The firm was recently named “Best Real-Time Portfolio, Risk and Regulatory Solutions” firm by The Hedge Fund Journal and won “Best Risk Management Product” at the HFMWeek US Technology Awards.

S3 Partners’ SaaS platform and advisory services provide transparency on securities finance, prime brokerage and counterparty risk.

• S3’s Market Composite Rate is the most widely used benchmark in the asset management industry. It will enable Imagine clients to Recap U.S. and Non-U.S. activity so that a portfolio manager can easily see changes in the financing market and note acceleration in cost and borrow activity.

• The S3 Worldwide Borrow Activity by Sector list shows on a macro level where borrowing activity is increasing and declining in five regions: US/Canada, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong/China, Asia ex-Japan/Hong Kong/China and South America/Africa/Middle East across 70 industry sectors. Analysts and portfolio managers can gain insight into trends for short-side accumulation and covering.

Manny Santayana, S3’s Global Head of Sales, Marketing and Distribution, said, “Our eight-factor model is the industry standard for understanding true borrow cost and loan opportunity. Just aggregating data in this voice-driven, dark market without having input from an active service desk results in inaccurate pricing, wasted time and frustration for the portfolio manager and traders. Imagine vetted our analytics and feel that it should be broadly distributed within their network. We are excited about the possibilities of working with Imagine.”
