The SFTR win for firms that don’t trade with European counterparties

The Securities Financing Transaction Regulation (SFTR) will be global regulation by default as the majority of market participants trade with a European entity or subsidiary and hence are captured by European reporting rules. But this could also be a business opportunity for firms that steer clear of European counterparties.
