We haven’t hit peak nanny state yet, and that’s not good

The idea that regulators should proscribe safety for all investors no matter what and that central banks will bail out the markets has become more popular worldwide in recent years, however misplaced it may be. There is ample reason to think that this is set to increase regardless of what political stripe holds elected office. A key reason is the ballooning public sector debt of major economies.
