AI in post-trade is like “guardian angel” for regulatory reporting

Artificial intelligence (AI) has been one of the core trends for post trade in 2024, and that is set to continue this year, raising challenges for operations teams in securities financing as much as any other area, namely, integrating modern AI tools and making significant infrastructure investments to upgrade legacy platforms.

Moreover, knowing which processes are ripe for AI-led solutions means identifying conflicting priorities of reducing risk as well as increasing efficiency and scalability, and doing so within a reasonable timeframe and budget, said Jon McTernan head of Post Trade MarketAxess.
