Analysis: US FINRA’s proposed short selling reporting would lead to market structure change (Premium)

On June 4, 2021, US regulatory agency FINRA released a proposal for new short selling reporting by US broker-dealers. While most of these changes are relatively minor, some are likely to result in investor and broker behavior, leading to change in US market structure on the short side.
