Capital markets are watching to see what a “Fork” means for Bitcoin

If you are not part of the cryptocurrency inner cognoscenti, what is happening to Bitcoin is tricky to grasp. As of August 1, 2017 the Bitcoin network is experiencing something called a “hard fork” which will result in two separate currencies: the original Bitcoin and something called Bitcoin Cash. If digital currencies like Bitcoin gain more traction in capital markets, it may be a concept that becomes extremely important to how markets operate.
