Five easy things the SEC can do to improve US fund transparency in securities lending

US mutual funds and ETFs currently provide some transparency to the public in securities lending, enough to know the basics of what is going on. To those who think that securities lending is in an opaque market, that is just not true including for these funds. However, the standardization of fund reporting is not ideal. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) could take some quick, and we believe relatively painless, actions to improve the situation substantially.
