FT: BoE backs derivatives leverage ratio rethink

The Bank of England has thrown its weight behind calls from exchanges, clearing houses and banks to ease incoming bank capital rules they claim could undermine regulatory efforts to underpin markets after the financial crisis.
As it launched its financial stability report, the UK central bank on Tuesday said incoming Basel rules related to derivatives could force banks to raise prices for customers or exit the market.
