HQLAX gets IT systems license from Lux FS regulator

HQLAX announced that its Luxembourg-based entity has been authorized by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) as an IT systems and communication networks operator of the financial sector, under the category of support professionals of the financial sector (support PFS).

The regulatory license marks a significant milestone in HQLAX’s mission to enable market participants to execute frictionless, precise and real-time transfer of ownership of securities in global securities lending and repo markets, and the achievement underscores the company’s commitment to meeting the highest industry standards, while delivering innovative collateral solutions for its regulated clients.

Guido Stroemer, CEO and co-founder of HQLAX, said in a statement: “We chose to base our company in Luxembourg because of its long history as an innovative post trade center of excellence, and we are delighted to have reached this important milestone to receive our CSSF license as an IT systems and communication networks operator of the financial sector.”
