ICMA releases Q2 2023 report with repo and collateral markets updates

The International Capital Market Association (ICMA) released its quarterly report, which includes international capital market practice and regulatory updates on the primary markets, secondary markets, repo and collateral markets, sustainable finance, fintech and digitalization and Asian market developments.

In the repo and collateral markets update, ICMA highlighted developments at its European Repo and Collateral Council (ERCC) Committee; Global Repo and Collateral Forum; settlement efficiency; T+1 discussions in Europe; the European repo market in figures; SFTR public data in 2022 and SFTR reporting; EBA Q&A on LCR treatment of open reverse repos; CRR3 and the treatment of RWA weightings for SFTs; and included a special section on CDM for repo and bonds.
