ISLA publishes Institutional Investor Guide to Securities Lending, in association with Finadium

The International Securities Lending Association is delighted to announce the publication of its new Institutional Investor Guide to Securities Lending.

Produced in association with Finadium, a consultancy focused on securities finance, collateral and derivatives in capital markets, this is the first of three guides to be developed around distinct user groups of market participants and industry stakeholders; Institutional Investors & Asset Managers, Regulators & Policymakers, and Agent Lenders & Borrowers.

The Institutional Investor Guide to Securities Lending aims to provide both active and prospective lending institutions with a definitive handbook to the industry, including the simple mechanics of the market, the various actors across the value chain, and the benefits that lending can bring to the buyside as well as the broader capital markets. It also covers a myriad of other topics, including regulatory drivers, prudential risk management and factors to consider when selecting an agent lender.

Sejal Amin, Head of Events, Marketing & Communications commented, “ISLA is committed to producing the highest quality content and publications for its members and the broader industry. This, alongside the other user guides which are due for release in the coming weeks and months, hopefully compliments our ongoing work around advocacy, education and establishing best practice policies and processes.”

The guide is publicly available here.
