ISLA Publishes Securities Lending Market Report 16th Edition

This report has become an integral part of the Association’s messaging, helping market participants and interested stakeholders alike, to better understand the key trends and influences across the global securities lending industry.

In this edition, HSBC provide their perspectives and experiences of the equity and fixed income markets more broadly over the past six months, alongside ISLA providing commentary based on the analysis of the SFTR data reported to trade repositories.

From the Foreward: “Inevitably, any retrospective review of 2021 will touch upon the impacts of the COVID-19 global pandemic that has changed almost every aspect of our personal and professional lives. The latter part of 2021 brought with it some false dawns regarding how we might see its end, however as we look ahead into 2022, we can increasingly see a point where society will have to learn to live with the virus, at least for now anyway.”
