Ed Corral, Managing Director, Global Head of Collateral Strategy for Collateral Services, J.P. Morgan

Edward (Ed) Corral is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Collateral Strategy for Collateral Services at J.P. Morgan. In this role Mr. Corral is responsible for Product Management & Strategy for Tri-party in the Americas as well as Derivatives Collateral Management globally. Ed leverages over 30 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, across Clearing, Central Funding, and Collateral Management to drive the convergence and modernization of services across these products and regions. Prior to his current role Mr. Corral spent 10 years at Morgan Stanley where he was responsible for Firm-wide Collateral Management and Optimization. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Ed spent nearly 20 years at J.P. Morgan and its predecessor firms, where he held numerous roles across Global Clearance & Collateral Management as well as Corporate Trust Finance. Mr. Corral received his MBA in Finance from NYU and graduated from Binghamton University.  Ed holds a Series 24, 7 and 63.

Saverio Costa, Natixis

Saverio is the head of the Americas Securities Optimization team, which is responsible for all securities lending, collateral management, and single stock / basket swap derivative trading activity. His team is responsible for the collateral optimization, liquidity, and scare resources management. Saverio joined the bank in 2010. He has held previous roles over his career at Cantor Fitzgerald and JP Morgan in the securities lending and equity financing businesses. He received his BA from the University of Hartford.

Todd Crowther, Pirum

Todd joined Pirum Systems in 2017 as Head of Collateral Services & Corporate Development where his role includes firm strategy, product innovation as well as corporate development including M&A and partnerships. Since joining Pirum, Todd has spearheaded Pirum’s CollateralConnect platform, a collateral management solution for the market supporting full front-to-back collateral automation, digitisation and enterprise-wide optimisation. During a 20-year career in investment banking, Todd has held a number of senior sales & trading roles at PaineWebber, ING, Deutsche Bank and Nomura where he built and ran a number of successful businesses in Securities Lending, Cash Prime Brokerage, Synthetic Prime Brokerage and Delta One. Todd holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School as well as Bachelor’s Degrees in Economics and Asian Studies.

Joanne Crisafi is a Managing Director at Tradeweb, overseeing all Institutional Money Market and Repo products. She manages key relationships with major buy and sell-side market participants and was an integral part of the Tradeweb team that helped develop and launch the firm’s bilateral repo platform in the U.S. in 2017. Prior to joining Tradeweb in 2011, Joanne spent more than 15 years at Citigroup. She was Managing Director on the Finance Desk assuming responsibility for Structured Finance and MBS products at the firm. Joanne holds FINRA Series 3, 7, and 63 licenses.

Joe DiMartino is Managing Director, Repo Trading at Clear Street. Joe joined the firm in 2021 with nearly thirty years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Clear Street, Joe served as the Head of Repo Trading at MUFG Securities Americas for ten years. Prior to his time at MUFG, Joe held senior positions at Oppenheimer & Co. and Dresdner Kleinwort Securities. Joe holds series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses and has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business.

Glenn is a 22-year veteran of JP Morgan Chase where he served as Managing Director responsible for Global Liquidity Management and as Chair of the Liquidity Risk Committee. His responsibilities within the Global Treasury Division included oversight of all debt issuance for JP Morgan Chase and its subsidiaries; development and implementation of the Bank’s asset and liability management process; and establishment of the Bank’s liquidity risk policies. Glenn holds an AB/Economics from Dartmouth College.

Bimal leads Transcend’s business and product strategies, working closely with major global banks to implement modular, innovative technology solutions that connect the front-to-back office for sharper funding and capital decisions. Bimal previously served in several senior roles at Citi Capital Markets Technology Division. He also led the global technology organization for Citi’s Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) businesses, and built the Prime Finance, Futures & OTC Clearing technology platform, expanding Citi’s growth. Bimal spearheaded Citi’s firm-wide post-2008 crisis strategy for Collateral, Liquidity and Margin, leading to the inspiration for founding Transcend’s next-generation collateral and liquidity management solutions.

Laura Klimpel, DTCC

Laura Klimpel serves General Manager of DTCC’s Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC) and as Head of SIFMU Business Development at the firm. Within these roles, Laura focuses on expanding FICC’s clearance and settlement services to a broader array of market participants, as well as enhancing FICC’s existing service offerings to further reduce risk and provide optimal capital and operational efficiencies to member firms. Laura also supports the development and implementation of the overall strategy and prioritization of SIFMU initiatives, working with cross-functional teams and industry partners to develop strategies for building new products and services that mitigate risk, create market efficiencies and reduce costs.
Prior to her current role, Laura was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at New York Portfolio Clearing, LLC (NYPC) for four years. During this time, she led the effort to obtain registration as a derivatives clearing organization (DCO) and approvals for the “one-pot” cross-margining of interest rate futures cleared by NYPC with fixed income cash instruments. She also drafted and reviewed rules, policies and procedures for compliance with various regulations. Before that, Laura spent three years at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, focusing primarily on US commodities and derivatives regulation, including the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. Laura received her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Truman State University in 1999 and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Cornell University in 2007. She is a member of the New York Bar.

Frank heads the Fixed Income Funding and Financing (FIFF) Securities Financing Product & Business Development and as such is responsible for the development and distribution of CCP cleared repo solutions for sell- & buy-side entities. Frank had various roles within Eurex Exchange’s listed and OTC IRS derivatives product development in Singapore and London. Before joining Deutsche Börse Group, Frank worked in Derivatives Marketing & Structuring at JPMorgan Securities Ltd. in London.

Matt Peabody, BNY Mellon

Matt joined BNY Mellon in May 2020 to lead business and product development with a focus on Cleared Repo. Prior to BNY Mellon, Matt spent 20 years at State Street, where he was part of pioneering the Sponsored Repo product in 2005 while also serving key roles in corporate treasury and markets. Since Matt joined BNY Mellon, the product’s global reach has more than doubled to include five new jurisdictions, has added several diverse counterparty types to the client roster and has delivered operating model changes to be more competitive with peers and attract new business. Matt holds a B.A. from Boston College and an MBA from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. In his personal life, Matt is also an avid fisherman, DIYer and gardener.

Andrea Pfenning is President and Chief Operating Officer of BNY Mellon Government Securities Services Corp. (GSS Corp), a wholly owned subsidiary of BNY Mellon which provides US Government Securities and US Triparty settlement services. She also serves on the GSS Corp Board of Directors. Previously, Andrea was a client executive in Global Client Management’s Financial Institutions Group, responsible for some of the company’s largest broker-dealer relationships. Fluent in German, she gained international experience while based in the Frankfurt office, supporting financial organizations in Austria and Switzerland. Andrea is a board member of DTCC and The Mary Louis Academy, as well as a member of the Treasury Market Practices Group, the SIFMA Government Operations and Rates/Funding Committees and the Business Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Andrea has a Master of Business Administration in Finance from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Baruch College.

Mr. Rao has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. Shiv has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. He began his career in finance in 2001 at Lehman Brothers, where he initially structured asset-backed and mortgage-backed transactions, with a particular focus on innovative short-term funding structures. In 2008, Mr. Rao moved to a structuring role in Lehman’s Prime Services division, comprised of the prime brokerage and fixed income finance (repo) business. Mr. Rao joined Barclays when it acquired Lehman’s U.S. assets following the firm’s bankruptcy. At Barclays he continued to create innovative structures, including Agented Repo, a structure that allows banks to guarantee repo trades without acting as principals. Mr. Rao was most recently at Wells Fargo Securities.

Jeff Sowell, State Street

Jeff is a Vice President on State Street’s Financing and Collateral Solutions team. In addition to interfacing with clients as a trader on the bank’s repo desk, he drives business development initiatives aimed at creating innovative financing and investment solutions for State Street’s clients. Prior to joining State Street, Jeff worked as a management consultant with a primary focus on helping financial services firms optimize their balance sheets and trading businesses in light of post-financial crisis reforms.
