Nadia Abdesselem, Head of EMEA Liability Management, J.P. Morgan
Nadia Abdesselem is the Head of EMEA Liability Management for Fixed Income and Emerging Markets. Her responsibilities include managing liquidity requirements, providing funding solution and running collateral optimization for EMEA Legal Entities. Nadia has been working at JP Morgan for 18 years. Prior to working at JP Morgan, she held various roles as Risk Manager at CACIB London and as Capital Market Auditor at Deloitte Paris.
Charlie Badran, Head of AXA Financing – Trading, Securities Financing and Derivatives, AXA Investment Managers
Charlie Badran, Head of AXA Financing within the Trading, Securities Financing and derivatives department (TSFD) at AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM), has been at AXA IM for more than 16 years. Charlie is in charge of repo and the financing activity globally. Prior to joining AXA IM, Charlie worked in London at Bloomberg as a trading system sales covering both France and the Middle East. Before that, he worked in a French investment bank as a Repo and Bond trader in Paris and Luxembourg. Furthermore, Charlie Badran is in the governing board of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) European Repo and Collateral Council (ERCC). Charlie Badran holds a MSc in Mathematics from University of Nice Sophia Antipolis and a MSc in Science and management from NEOMA Business School.
Stephen Beill, Head of EMEA Cash Management & Agency Fixed Income Lending, Citi
Stephen joined Citi in July 2007 to manage the cash re-investment of the London Agency Securities Lending business. As head of EMEA Cash Management he is also responsible for the investment mandates within the DAIS (Directed Agent Investment Service) product. In July 2016 he was appointed EMEA head of Agency Fixed Income Lending. Prior to joining Citi, Stephen worked for RBS where he was Portfolio Manager for the RBS Money and Enhanced Cash Funds. Stephen began his career at National Westminster where he traded base rate derivatives and established the securities purchase and lending agreements business for Natwest Global Financial Markets. Stephen graduated from the University of Warwick in 1990, with a degree in accountancy and financial analysis.
Bertrand Bordais, Global Head of MM Government Bond Repo, Global Securities Financing, Natixis
Bertrand Bordais is the Global Head of the Market Making Government Bond Repo team at Natixis since 2016. Prior to that, Bertrand was a Senior Trader within the MM Government Bond Repo team (2009-2016) and before that he was a Treasurer in the Long Term Treasury Team (2007-2008). Bertrand also worked as a Salesperson in charge of covering the Banques Populaires Network (on both the Treasury activity and Fixed Income Derivatives) from 2000 to 2006. He has been working for the BPCE group since 1996.
Duncan Carpenter, Director of Product Management, Pirum
Duncan Carpenter is a director of product management at Pirum and has led multiple product initiatives covering post-trade automation and regulatory reporting. Duncan joined Pirum in March 2013 having worked previously in securities finance roles at eSeclending. Duncan represents Pirum on a number of industry working groups and is considered a market expert on Securities Finance Transaction Reporting (SFTR).
Richard Comotto, Repo Market Advisor
Richard is Senior Consultant to the ICMA on repo and repo markets. In that role, he authors the ICMA’s Guide to Best Practice in the European Repo Market, SFTR Repo Reporting Recommendations, CSDR Penalties Best Practices and Repo FAQs. Richard is also director of the ICMA’s semi-annual survey of the European repo market, the ICMA/ASIFMA Asian repo market survey and delivers training for the ICMA on repo, the GMRA and SFTR in the UK and around the world, including the industry flagship Professional Repo Market and Collateral Management Course. Richard has been an advisor on repo market development for several organizations including the IMF, Asian Development Bank, World Bank and other development organizations on missions to 30 countries including China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Georgia, Ukraine and Armenia. For over 20 years, he was Senior Visiting Fellow at the ICMA Centre at Reading University lecturing on money markets. Prior to this, he served for 10 years in the Bank of England, including the Bank’s Foreign Exchange Division and on secondment to the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC. More recently, Richard has joined a start-up looking to develop repo market analytics. Other professional interests include electronic trading in fixed-income markets.
Josh Galper, Managing Principal, Finadium
Josh Galper is the lead for Finadium’s research and consulting practice with an expertise in institutional investments, treasury and financing. Josh has conducted numerous consulting assignments for banks, asset holders, CCPs and technology companies, and is the author of over 60 industry reports as part of the Finadium research subscription. He also writes for Finadium’s online and hard copy magazine, Securities Finance Monitor. Josh has been quoted in most industry publications covering hedge funds, securities finance, collateral management and financial markets. He holds an MBA in Financial Engineering from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Jan Grauls, Product Manager, Collateral Management Services, Euroclear
Jan Grauls is a Product Manager for Euroclear’s collateral management services looking after product development and strategy, a role he has held since 2014. Jan is responsible for a broad range of strategic initiatives and projects enhancing Euroclear’s services including collateral optimisation, inventory management and the mobilisation of collateral for monetary policy operations. Jan joined Euroclear’s collateral operations in 2008 and has over 15 years’ experience working on collateral and securities financing in various roles. Jan holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve, in Belgium.
Cassandra Jones, Managing Director, EMEA Head of Financing Solutions Client Management, State Street
Cassandra Jones is a Managing Director serving as EMEA Head of Financing Solutions Client Management. Her role includes oversight of the EMEA business development team, aiding product development and originating new business for State Street’s repo and collateral products. Cassandra is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder. Cassandra has been with the Funding and Collateral team at State Street for over 6 years where she has helped establish the analytics team, supported balance sheet optimization efforts and led business development to establish new client relationships. Cassandra earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Hofstra University.
Bruce Kellaway, Global Head of Securities and Collateral at LCH and CEO, UnaVista
Bruce Kellaway is Global Head of Securities and Collateral at LCH, covering RepoClear, EquityClear in London, SwapAgent, and the Collateral and Liquidity Management business, which manages cash and non-cash collateral. Bruce is focused on helping members and clients by delivering innovation in products, processes and data. Prior to joining LCH in September 2014, Bruce spent 20 years at Lloyds Banking Group, where he held roles as Interim Head of Trading and MD of Swaps, before being appointed Managing Director of Rates Trading. During his time at the bank, Bruce was instrumental in building a successful and focused rates trading function, and creating a leading GEMM (Gilt-Edged Market Maker) from scratch. Bruce studied Economics at the University of Durham.
Gabi Mantle, Head of Post-Trade Solutions EMEA & APAC, EquiLend
Gabi Mantle is Head of Post-Trade Solutions EMEA & APAC at EquiLend, where she is responsible for post-trade client engagement, aiding product development and management of a team of product specialists which provides SME support to EquiLend’s new and existing clients.
She also serves as the global spokesperson for all post-trade matters at EquiLend. Gabi has 23 years of finance industry experience, almost all of which in securities finance. Prior to joining EquiLend in 2019, Gabi held positions at Deutsche Bank, UBS and Bank of America spanning all areas of securities lending and client asset operations. She has an extensive knowledge of securities lending operations processes as well as a strong industry network. Gabi has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Kingston University.
Camille McKelvey, Head of Business Development STP, MarketAxess Post-Trade
Camille McKelvey is the Head of Business Development STP, for MarketAxess Post-Trade. Camille actively works with the industry to improve Post-Trade automation across the cash and repo markets, as well as looking for new, innovative ways to address client’s workflow challenges. Since joining MarketAxess is 2014, Camille has developed the Match Post-Trade platform and significantly grown the market share. Prior to joining MarketAxess she spent 10 years in investment banking. Camille actively participates in promoting diversity and inclusivity within financial services as a founding steering committee member of the International Capital Markets Association Women’s Network.
Chris Minck, EMEA Head of Systematic Execution, BlackRock
Chris Minck, Chartered MCSI, Director, is the EMEA Head of Systematic Execution. The trading team focuses on the implementation of data-driven execution strategies and automated trading workflows. Prior to joining systematic trading, Mr. Minck was a Senior Trader in EMEA, responsible for high and low touch execution strategies, delivering market intelligence updates, and optimizing workflows for BlackRock’s global investment platform. Mr. Minck started his career with BlackRock in 2010, joining the US Trade Operations team in Delaware. Mr. Minck earned a BA degree in mathematics with a minor in economics from Franklin & Marshall College.
Frank Odendall, Head of Securities Financing Product & Business Development, Eurex
Frank heads the Fixed Income Funding and Financing (FIFF) Securities Financing Product & Business Development and as such is responsible for the development and distribution of CCP cleared repo solutions for sell- & buy-side entities. Frank had various roles within Eurex Exchange’s listed and OTC IRS derivatives product development in Singapore and London. Before joining Deutsche Börse Group, Frank worked in Derivatives Marketing & Structuring at JPMorgan Securities Ltd. in London.
Emmanuel Rolland, COO, RepoClear and CaLM SA, LCH
Emmanuel Rolland is Chief Operating Officer for RepoClear and Collateral and Liquidity Management at LCH SA, responsible for the Euro repo clearing business and collateral and liquidity management at the Paris-based CCP. Emmanuel has nearly two decades of experience in financial services, primarily in the investment management space. Before joining LCH in 2019, he spent over ten years in various senior strategic roles at AXA Investment Managers, including COO for the Derivatives Trading & Management desk. Prior to this, Emmanuel was a manager at Ernst & Young and a consultant for Arthur Andersen covering international banking group and private equity business. Emmanuel holds an Advanced Master in Finance from ESCP Business School, Paris; a Master’s degree in Finance & Economics from Université Dauphine, Paris; and a Business Management degree from WHU Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management, Koblenz.
Simon Squire, Global Head of Product, Clearance and Collateral Management, BNY Mellon
Simon Squire is Global Head of Product Management for the Clearance and Collateral Management Business at BNY Mellon. He is responsible for driving the overall business strategy and leading initiatives that enhance the client experience and expand product capabilities, including strategic partnerships with external firms. Simon sits on the board of HQLAx. Simon is an active participant in a number of financial services industry bodies. These include sitting on the ERCC Operations Group, and serving as a member of ISLA’s Digital Steering Group. He is a regular speaker and participant at industry forums. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Simon spent more than a decade at Goldman Sachs in various global leadership roles in Financing (including Repo and Securities Lending), and Collateral Mobilization & Optimization.
Ned Taylor, Global Head of Repo, SBL & Cash Prime Sales, HSBC
Ned is Global Head of Sales for Repo, SBL and Cash Prime for HSBC. Ned has previously helped build and then lead the Client facing Repo business in EMEA, and prior to that worked in Structured Rates in his 18 years with the firm. He is strategically involved in all types of Financing products, Collateral Management, as well as optimisation across asset classes and balance sheets. He is a key stakeholder in topics ranging from Asset-Liabilities Management (ALM), regulation, liquidity risk and related policies – internally and externally. Ned holds Undergraduate & Masters degrees from the University of Manchester in Economics & Development Economics respectively.
Andy Turvey, Director of Sales EMEA, GLMX
Andy Turvey is the Director of Sales EMEA for GLMX. In this role, Andy is responsible for building the profile of the business within both the buy and sell-side communities. Prior to GLMX, Andy has more than two decades of experience within the repo markets, and has amassed comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the securities financing business. His responsibilities have variously included managing a team of dedicated financing salespeople, implementing liquidity discipline, navigating interest rate and credit risks, and complying with the constantly evolving regulatory landscape. He most recently ran the EMEA Financing Sales business at JPM in London.
