SFM Interview: Citi’s Topa on the state of the CSDR review

While the Central Securities Depositories Regulation (CSDR) covers a wide variety of rules related to the organization of CSDs, a bulk of the securities financing market’s attention has been focused on cash penalties implementation and how mandatory buy-ins will shape out pending the European Commission’s review published in March. We speak with Marcello Topa, director for EMEA Market Policy and Strategy at Citi Securities Services, about the state of the CSDR Review ahead of expected discussions at the European Parliament and Council this month.
