Two-Sigma backed crypto fintech launches industrial-grade security in UK

Trustology announced the launch of TrustVault Personal Accounts for UK-domiciled individuals to secure their ether. The technology uses a mix of customized hardware security modules in ultra-secure data centers and sophisticated key management using a user’s iPhone. The service safeguards private keys against cyber and physical threats but asset owners can transact in near real time.

Joseph Lubin, ConsenSys founder, said in a statement: “It’s Crypto Spring 2019 and when it comes to crypto wallets, hot is the new cold. Industrial-grade security, but available to anyone.” Consensys is an investor in Trustology, and helped incubate the firm.

Trustology also offers TrustVault as a Service, where the company will operate client accounts on behalf of financial institutions. The fintech expects to add cryptoassets such as bitcoin and ERC-20 tokens and is planning a geographic expansion as well as launch of TrustVault Business Accounts, said Trustology CEO and founder Alex Batlin in a statement.
