Spanish bank BBVA announced on LinkedIn that it closed its first digital stock lending trade on the EquiLend platform. The transaction was completed with another European counterparty, BNP Paribas Securities Services.
BBVA called it a “further step towards 100% digitalization in securities lending”, adding: “We hope to soon support even more clients wanting to trade online with us in both repos and stock lending products.”
