ISLA updates on 10c-1a, T+1 to best practices and flags adding CDM to handbook

The International Securities Lending Association (ISLA) announced updates to its Best Practice Handbook.

A new US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Rule 10c-1a guide has been published to provide a more efficient and centralized means of sharing all available information to date.

“This initiative represents a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to improve communication, accessibility, and to provide members with up-to-date information on regulatory matters,” ISLA wrote in a quarterly update.

Alongside this, a number of T+1 topics have been added to the ISLA Securities Lending Handbook. This initial piece of work will develop into a complete update of the handbook.

Looking further ahead, ISLA is also developing a new handbook for the Common Domain Model (CDM). This will centralize all documentation to streamline access and support members in the integration of the CDM across their systems.
