The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has a regularly scheduled meeting this Wednesday and Thursday (Sept 14 and 15) in Basel, Switzerland. This is set to be an important meeting for clarifying the regulatory agenda, including important topics on whether “adjustments” to the current regime could again impact bank capital costs in a meaningful way or if the Committee will look to wrap up what is has already started with no new capital increases.
