The promised revolution of the cloud is still getting over a major hitch: it’s unclear who’s allowed to get inside it. That’s hardly surprising considering the cloud holds vast quantities of data, and financial institutions need to have a grip on permissions and controls on that front. But it remains one of the chief gripes from financial firms and vendors seeking to monetize data by working with it as cheaply as possible.
