Extension of Public Comment Period on a Proposed Publication of SOFR Averages and a SOFR Index
On November 4, 2019, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (New York Fed) solicited public comment on a proposal to publish, in cooperation with the Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Research (OFR), three compounded averages of the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR), along with a daily SOFR Index. The initial deadline for comments was December 4, 2019, but in response to several requests for additional time, this deadline is being extended to January 10, 2020.
