A hollowing out of new hires in securities finance means less business continuity but also new thinking (Premium)

We’ve noted recently that senior executives in securities finance have been moving around, but have also seen that there is an absence of younger securities finance employees coming into the business. This is a natural consequence of business model change – fewer new hires are simply necessary for the functioning of the business. However, this lack of new hires has long-term consequences for the industry, both good and bad.
