ADIA and Spain’s Minsait to develop ethical and sustainable AI

Minsait and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) Lab announced an MoU to set a framework for future research collaboration on the sustainable and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI). The firms will identify key research topics related to the use of AI technology in areas such as green AI, smart cities, healthcare, digital finance, and quantum computing.

“This partnership with ADIA Lab aims to foster innovation and create advanced AI solutions tailored to the needs of different sectors,” said Luis Abril, CEO of Minsait. “Together, we plan to push the boundaries of AI technology to new heights.”

Horst Simon, director of ADIA Lab, said in a statement: “Collaborating with Minsait enables us to leverage our research capabilities in real-world applications, ensuring that AI advancements are both impactful and aligned with global standards of sustainability and ethics.”

The collaboration will be overseen by a joint coordination commission, ensuring both parties meet biannually to align strategies and set actionable goals. The agreement marks a significant step towards integrating cutting-edge technological research with practical, scalable applications, promising to reshape industries by integrating innovative AI solutions across the board.

Minsait is a digital transformation and information technology firm owned by Spain’s Indra Sistemas ADIA Lab is Abu Dhabi-based institute dedicated to basic and applied research in data and computational sciences.
