ECB raises cash collateral limit to €150bn in seclending program

The Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) decided to increase the upper limit of cash as collateral for the Eurosystem’s securities lending program to €150 billion ($170.3bn) from €75 billion. This limit was increased to €75 billion in March 2018, among other things to reflect the increase in the stock of acquired assets over time. The increase in the Eurosystem securities lending against cash entered into force, 16 November 2021.
