The International Securities Lending Association is delighted to announce the publication of its new Regulator & Policy Maker Guide to Securities Lending.
Produced in association with Finadium, a consultancy focused on securities finance, collateral and derivatives in capital markets, this is the next in a series of guides developed around distinct user groups of market participants and industry stakeholders; Institutional Investors & Asset Managers, Regulators and Policy Makers, and Agent Lenders and Borrowers.
The Regulator & Policy Maker Guide to Securities Lending aims to provide this community with a comprehensive handbook to the industry, including the simple mechanics of the market, the various actors across the value chain, and the value of securities lending to broader capital markets. It also covers a myriad of other topics, including the evolving regulatory environment, conduct and governance as well what regulators can do to support securities lending.
Andrew Dyson, CEO commented, “This guide is an important part of our ongoing engagement with the broader regulatory community. It has been designed to foster a greater understanding of the role of securities lending in the capital markets arena, and in particular how it fits within the ambitious objectives of the CMU”.
