The last days of old-style regulatory transparency initiatives

Across capital markets, we see repeated signs that the old style of regulators asking for data from financial institutions is coming to an end. The replacement will be databases that regulators can tap into to access data on demand. It’s a different way of conceptualizing reporting, and should lead to enhanced productivity for both reporting firms and regulators alike.
