The UK’s latest Basel 3.1 proposals: analysis on what’s changed from the 2022 consultation paper

We analyzed the UK’s Basel 3.1 rules between their November 2022 consultation paper CP 16/22 and the latest PS9/24 published last week. While the top-line rules on risk and capital measures (Leverage Ratio, Liquidity Coverage Ratio, Net Stable Funding Ratio) don’t appear to have changes, this part 2 of the near final rules contains some important tweaks.
