An expected bill was introduced last week by US Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D), Chair of the House Committee on Financial Services. The bill would amend the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to make 13(f) requirements more stringent and force the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to get serious about short sale rule making. Some big changes have been proposed.
