UTI gets new lease on life as firms tackle accelerated settlement

The unique transaction identifier (UTI) burst onto the securities financing scene as part of the Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR), but it’s increasingly being used to manage exception handling, improve trade traceability, and boost interoperability across fragmented markets. We hear from Simon Daniel, ISITC representative, about how that’s resulted in renewed interest in the ISO standard on the back of Europe’s T+1 transition.
