Finadium has conducted its first survey of corporate actions solutions providers for securities finance. This survey provides industry-wide and vendor specific information on ten firms and their product offerings that serve the needs of the securities finance community.
The vendors in our survey reported that Straight-through Processing (STP) and risk reduction are top client priorities, as could be expected. However, vendor functionality has expanded beyond task management and workflow engines: this is now the starting gate for any offering. Vendor expansion into client customization, advanced technologies and data quality support are widespread but not uniform. While corporate actions processing solutions may appear to be relatively the same at a high level, there can be important differences at the ground level.
The survey provides readers with a product summary and coverage, market differentiators, new functionalities added in the last year, and upcoming development plans. On an industry-wide basis, we analyze the important new features that vendors are adding, what problems their clients are trying to solve and how vendors are applying technologies from outside financial services.
The results of this survey should be useful to securities finance professionals in front office, operations and technology, who are working to evaluate the vendor landscape. They may also be useful to investors in financial technology and to the vendors themselves in assessing their competitive positioning.
