Higher investor interest in hedge fund credit strategies may come with financing cost surprises

In a recent survey, Pershing’s Capital Introductions team found that 58% of private wealth and institutional investors were expecting an increase in allocations to hedge funds, particularly public credit. This has downstream implications for prime brokerage financing and hedge fund treasury desks.
