In the ICMA Quarterly Report for the Second Quarter of 2015, the Foreword by Cyrus Ardalan focuses on a period of unprecedented change in capital markets. ICMA’s Chief Executive, Martin Scheck, looks ahead to ICMA’s AGM and Conference in Amsterdam on 4-5 June. The Quarterly Assessment considers QE and capital markets. This is followed by a summary of the practical initiatives on which ICMA is engaged on behalf of members. The ICMA Quarterly Report also covers new regulatory developments in response to the crisis, both at global and European level; and the impact of new regulations on market practice in the short-term markets, the primary markets, the secondary markets, asset management and the market infrastructure. There is a special feature on capital market products, including the pan-European private placement initiative and green bond initiative; and an update on ICMA’s work in Asia-Pacific.
