Intelligent automation is the hedge against rise of big tech in finance

Intelligent automation may seem a bit buzz phrase-ish, but it’s a good description of the combination of technologies that are generally accepted as a necessity for financial firms to at least be thinking about nowadays: robotics and business process automation and artificial intelligence.

Getting it right will give the big techs (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google, Alibaba’s Ant Financial) a run for their money, because they are making a run for the money.
