Dane Fannin expands secfinance role to spearhead its Northern Trust’s global FX business

Northern Trust announced Dane Fannin will lead its growing Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) business, expanding his Securities Finance role. As global head of GFX and Securities Finance, Fannin, who joined Northern Trust in 2006, will be responsible for the continued technology innovation and business growth across the suite of GFX and Securities Finance solutions. He reports to Guy Gibson, executive vice president and global head of Capital Markets, Banking & Treasury Services.

Gibson said in a statement: “We are excited to announce this expansion in Dane’s responsibilities which reflect his strong vision and leadership in the development of our integrated capabilities across our global Securities Finance business. Dane’s dual focus will support our clients as they increasingly look for holistic solutions across their FX and Securities Finance needs to meet their liquidity and portfolio optimization objectives.”

Dane started his career with Northern Trust in London in 2006 within Securities Lending. He subsequently spent 12 years in Asia-Pacific holding a number of positions within Northern Trust’s Capital Markets business, including managing the APAC Securities Lending trading team in Hong Kong. Prior to assuming his role as global head of Securities Finance, Dane was head of Capital Markets Asia-Pacific.

FIS appoints James Kehoe as CFO

FIS announced the appointment of James Kehoe as chief financial officer (CFO). He will succeed Erik Hoag, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities and will remain with the company as a non-executive officer through the end of the year.

He is an accomplished and internationally experienced CFO with a distinguished record of success in driving shareholder value,” said FIS’ chief exec and president Stephanie Ferris in a statement. “As a results-driven leader, he brings a dynamic, forward-thinking mindset to create innovative business and financial strategies that unlock top- and bottom-line growth. We look forward to working with James to advance our strategic roadmap and achieve our long-term objectives.”

Kehoe has served as CFO and a senior corporate leader at several large and international public companies. He joins FIS from Walgreens Boots Alliance, where he served as executive vice president and global chief financial officer since 2018. Prior to that, he was Global CFO and a Board Director for Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, the largest Japanese pharmaceutical company.

SFT: HQLAX adds De Rosa to its team of solutions architects

HQLAX has appointed Erica De Rosa to its team of solutions architects. Based in London, De Rosa will focus on designing products and delivering solutions for clients to transact on the HQLAX platform across its multiple product offerings.

De Rosa joins HQLAX after spending 11 years at Morgan Stanley in securities finance, having worked across trading, strategy and product development, mainly on the long funding side. SFT: S&P Global Market Intelligence promotes Singh

S&P Global Market Intelligence has promoted JD Singh as global head of regulatory solutions sales. Based in London, Singh’s role will consist of corporate actions involving data and software, regulatory reporting and tax solutions.

He enters the new role from his previous position as global head of sales and client management, where he focused on enterprise software, software-as-a-service and managed data services. Singh has been with S&P Global Market Intelligence for the past 13 years. Read the full article
