UK FCA publishes final versions of SFTR validation rules and XML schemas

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published final versions of the UK SFTR Validation Rules and XML schemas, with changes applicable from 25 November 2024.

“This will bring the UK broadly in line with the EU changes that were made back in September this year,” wrote Joanne Salkeld, SFTR & EMIR product manager at MarketAxess in a LinkedIn post.

In addition, the FCA released a new form to notify the regulator about any errors or omissions in their securities financing transaction reports pursuant to Article 4 of UK SFTR. “We expect firms to notify as soon as practicably possible following identification of any errors and/or omissions with their UK SFTR reporting,” the FCA wrote in a statement.
