Variation Margin (VM) rules for non-cleared OTC derivatives go into effect on March 1, 2017. Maybe. Unless you are in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia… and several other jurisdictions. As of this writing, the long published and expected March deadline is still a go for the US and Europe (with some leeway).
