ICMA releases Q2 2024 report with repo and collateral review

The International Capital Market Association (ICMA) published its quarterly report for Q2 2024, which provides an assessment of market practice and regulatory policy. ICMA prioritizes developments in three core areas – primary markets, secondary markets, repo and collateral: with two cross-cutting themes of sustainable finance and fintech.

The repo and collateral review includes updates from the European Repo and Collateral Council (ERCC) and Global Repo and Collateral Forum, including the ERCC report on the 2023 year-end; European Banking Authority (EBA) report on net stable funding ratio (NSFR) and Q&As on liquidity cover ratio (LCR) treatment of open reverse repos; Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR) reporting; repo and sustainability; GMRA digital assets annex; and the Repo Trading Fintech directory.

The section is also available as a podcast.
