Cognitive cloud firm Arista buys Metamako

US-based Arista Networks announced the acquisition of Australia’s Metamako, a low-latency FPGA-enabled network solutions provider. In financial markets, Arista provides low-latency cloud networking, and the acquisition of Metamako is expected to translate to “next generation platforms for low-latency applications” for financial services and exchange customers. In an emailed statement, Metamako CEO Kevin Covington announced he would be stepping down.
